Whether it is local or international visitor, Queensland in Australia remains a popular holiday destination for all types of tourist. After all, there is so much to see and do. Let us take a quick look at some of the major tourist attractions of this Australian territory.

Mudlo National Park

Also known by the name of Mudlo Gap, Mudlo National Park contains one of the few remaining pine Hoop Pine Rainforests in the region. The park is situated close to the site of Queensland’s first gold discovery at Kilkivan and therefore, is of great interest. Previously tall hoop pines used to cover a major part of the coastal areas. As you go for a short drive to Mudlo Gap, you will enjoy some excellent scenic views. While the Mudlo Gap track may come across as steep with many steps, the overall view is impressive. Friends and families can go for a picnic beside Scrubby Creek. As you walk through the dry rainforest, keep your senses alert for you are likely to come across the sight of whiptail wallabies and hear the sounds of wonga pigeons.

Natural Bridge, Springbrook National Park

Natural Bridge which is located at Springbrook National Park is a most unusual geological feature created over millions of years by water tumbling through the roof of a basalt cave. It is home to an amazing colony of glow-worms, whose lights can be seen only after sunset. Lookouts and lush rainforest also grace this part of the Gondwna Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, making it one of the most popular parks in Australia. Take the short circuit walk to the natural arch over Cave Creek, and view the unique waterfall and cave. Enjoy a picnic and relax in cool rainforest. Join a nocturnal tour to see delicate glow-worms. (Remember a torch for the walk, but turn it off once in the cave). On summer nights, see luminous fungi and fireflies. During the day, hear the calls of paradise riflebirds, green catbirds and wompoo fruit-doves.
