Quiksilver and Roxy Pro Gold Coast

These are specifically two events of the ASP World Championship Tour for men and women. Quiksilver Pro is one of the 10 events of the Men’s World Tour, while Roxy Pro is one of the 7 events of the Women’s World Tour. Both these events showcase top athletes of this sport competing against each other in some of the most challenging waves on the Snapper Rocks of the Gold Coast. The sand bank of Snapper Rocks is famous for providing certain great waves and attracting massive media attention along with numerous spectators. So, surfing lovers who want to see the experts battling it out on the waves, must visit Coolangatta beach from 1st March – 12th March 2014.

Queensland Cup

If you want to feel the thrill and competitive spirit of group surfing then attend the surfing cup of Queensland on 15th March 2014. Starting from 9 am, this activity will continue up till 12.30 pm, where surf boat crews will fight for the cup and the supreme position. Surf boat crews will have to cross 5 rounds in order to secure the winner’s position. So, get your feet up on the beaches of Sunshine and Gold Coast to witness this sporting event.

Eco Challenge Gold Coast

This event specifically highlights an eco-friendly attempt at using alternative craft for surfing purposes. If you love surfing, then it comes under your responsibility to promote sustainable measures like wooden surfboard to ensure that the seas remain clean and free of plastics. What better opportunity can you get to do something for nature while holidaying, than this? So, be present at Tomewin Street of Currumbin Beach from 9 am to 1 pm on 16th March 2014 and participate in the fund-raising endeavour of the Rise Above Plastics project for the Surfrider Foundation.
