Winter events are so much fun to experience that you will barely want to leave Gold Coast. This August get ready for three of the most coveted events of Winter. The Broadbeach jazz festival that is all set to start on 15th of August, is to be organised by none other than Oasis Shopping Centre. To be presented in honour of the shopping centre’s 25th birth anniversary the event is not to be missed at all.
What is most interesting about the affair is that it is non-ticketed. So, you don’t need to spend your money over tickets. The festival is all ready to feature local as well as Australian jazz hits that will be performed on stage throughout venues in Broadbeach. The jazz event is likely to be performed by Rhonda Burchmore, Grace Knight, Tatu Rei, the Galapagos Duck and Royal Jellies.
On 17th of the month you can join in for the Tomewin Mountain Challenge Running Festival. After completing with the jazz event, it’s time to hit the roads. The 4th edition of the event is all set to invite you for a challenge. Tomewin Mountain Chllenge will entail runners to tackle an entire stretch of 21.1 km. The half marathon course will see many runners participating. This championship will also include twin ascent of the Tomewin Mountain.
The most interesting part of the challenge is that runners will have to run across a testing route to experience the mix of beautiful scenery and challenge. Participants are likely to run across fabulous running locations, giving them the chance to experience the scenic spectacle.
This running championship also includes the much known 14 kilometer Freeman’s 14, the 1 kilometer Dash for Duchenne charity fun run and the 6 kilometer Highland Hurry. This August you can be a part of this prestigious running championship that also entails a whole lot of fun. You can either take part in all three or choose your course according to your liking.
This aside, there is the Hancock Prospecting Pan Pacific Swimming Championship. The event to be conducted by the Pan Pacific Swimming Association is a conglomeration of four swimming federations:
• Swimming Australia
• Swimming Canada
• USA Swimming
• Japan Amateur Swimming Federation
The biennial swimming championship is meant to offer national teams the chance to take part in international swimming competitions, paving way to the Olympic Games and also the FINA world championships. Now, these three events are good enough to make your Gold Coast holiday special and memorable.
